#### Research Interests:

Recent research involves the generalized class of skewed distributions and their applications. This class includes the skewed normal, skewed Cauchy, and other distributions that are symmetric when the skewing parameters are zero. Current research involves rank set sampling and the use of the EM algorithm and Gibbs sampler in tests of hypotheses and estimation.

In the past, he has pursued many topics in the area of paired comparison experiments including the handling of tied observations and possible order effects associated with treatments.

Dr. Beaver is also interested in statistical modelling which has brought him into fruitful collaboration with other researchers in the college.
