Why Study Statistics?
- The Department of Statistics prepares students for careers in business, government, and industry as well as for careers involving research and teaching. There is a great demand for those with strong training in statistics in both the private and public sectors of our economy.
- People with bachelor's and master's degrees in statistics will typically find employment with the research departments of:
- Banks and financial instutitions
- Insurance and actuarial services
