Assistant Professor in Statistics
 
The Department of Statistics at the University of California, Riverside invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, beginning July 1, 2022.  Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
 
The position targets candidates that have demonstrated high-quality research and are committed to excellent teaching. Applicants in all areas of Statistics will be given serious consideration, but we are particularly interested in candidates who have expertise in Bayesian analysis, clinical trials, big data analysis, causal inference, spatial/environmental statistics, graphical models, precision/personalized medicine, and statistical machine learning.
 
The required qualification for this position at time of application is demonstrated high-quality research in statistics and/or data science and commitment to excellent teaching.
The additional qualification for this position at time of employment is a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field.
 
Advancement through the Professorial ranks at the University of California is through a series of structured, merit-based evaluations, occurring every 2-3 years, each of which includes substantial peer input.
