Award Requirements
- Student must present at the conference they attend (oral or poster presentation).
- The presentation abstract must be submitted to the conference prior to applying for the travel award.
- Students must have applied for other sources of financial support from the college or campus (e.g., GSA travel support).
- Recipients of the travel award are expected to share their research (oral presentation/poster) at the Department of Statistics annual FN David Symposium in the Spring Quarter.

Can students use the travel awards to attend international conferences?
Yes, the funds can be used for international conferences if the application is approved.
When should students apply for travel funds?
Students are encouraged to submit their application as soon as they become aware of their travel plans. Early submission allows sufficient time for preparing the presentation, completing review and approval of the application, and arranging travel.

How are the travel funds provided?
This award us processed as a reimbursement once the trip has been completed. Can students receive funding from this award more than once (i.e., submit the application more than once)?
Priority will be given to students who have not previously received the department travel award.
